Martina's business advice site is a very recent find, and it's down to her that I've given this site a facelift. Her free download of common website mistakes is well worth a read.
"Mistake #1 - It’s not immediately clear what your small business does or offers.
And I’m talking immediately. Like 2 seconds."
Oops. I was making the mistake that people came to my website already knowing about me...
http://www.buildalittlebiz.com/ has a wealth of good information and has thrown a lot of light on what we may (and more importantly, may NOT) do on facebook to promote our businesses. click here for facebook info
The lovemark profiler is also a very recent discovery. It's about branding, about why your customers love you...or don't. There's a simple (but scary) questionnaire click here which shows us where our brand needs work.
Etsy Storque - I don't always like what I read, but as an Etsy seller I'd be foolish to ignore it.
Zibbet's blog "Inspire" is packed with good advice (and it's a great venue too!)
Folksy's blog has advice from fellow-sellers.
Is pricing a problem? Useful advice about pricing handmade from JillHannah and WhatTheCraft
TinEye is a reverse image search engine. I had NO IDEA there was such a thing! It finds out where an image came from and how it is being used. Ever wondered if your photos are being pirated? You need this free resource.
If you're shipping to USA, there's a tool to find the remaining digits of a buyer's zipcode (Etsy only gives space for the first few) http://zip4.usps.com/zip4/welcome.jsp
Shipping to the UK? Find the postcode here
Postal Price Finder from the UK to everywhere.
http://polldaddy.com/ creates free polls and surveys for your site.
http://www.widgetbox.com/widgets/ Widgets for everything! Currency converters, visitor maps - you name it.
Free online Camera simulator This is a fun tool to experiment with different settings, it's helped me a lot even though my camera is the "wrong" type.
There are many many more, I shall add to this list as I remember them! I've opened this page to comments, so if you have a favourite seller resource do please leave the link. Thank you!
